Joanna was born in upstate New York grew up in both Canada and Minnesota. She attended North Hennepin Community College and then on to Hamline University where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with Bachelor Degrees in Philosophy and Women's Studies. Her grandmother raised her family in the Pacific Northwest, so when she finally moved to the West Coast, it immediately felt like home.

Joanna has been successfully self-employed for most of her adult life and saw a great opportunity to make a difference with eco-friendly cleaning. She founded Green Monarch Cleaning with the intention of bringing affordable, quality cleaning services to the community, all with non-toxic chemicals. She cares deeply for all sentient beings, from nature to animals to people. She believes we all deserve a space that feels fresh without fear of harming our beloved planet, and is eager to bring these services to the surrounding areas. 

 

Since moving to Klickitat county, Joanna and her family have found a sense of community that she could not have imagined. They love living here and care deeply about sustaining Klickitat county for future generations.
